Description & history

Vintage Chanel clip-on earrings circa 1993 — circular frame with rope twist pattern, central CC logo set with crystals, gold-plated. 1.8 cm of pure Parisian chic. The kind of piece you never take off and that transcends decades without aging a day.

In the early 1990s, Karl Lagerfeld was in full command of the Chanel identity he had been reinventing since 1983 — jewelry collections explored the rope and braiding motif, omnipresent in the Spring-Summer 1993 fashion shows, notably worn by Claudia Schiffer. The CC logo, the absolute signature of the house, was presented in compact and precious formats, set with crystals that played with light without ever verging on excess. These clip-on earrings are a perfect example: a twisted circular frame, a sparkling central CC, careful gold plating — a jewel that encapsulates the elegance of the house in a diameter of less than two centimeters. Made in France, signed on the back.

This item is in very good vintage condition. The slight surface traces are consistent with the age of the piece — without affecting the worn appearance. The crystals are intact, the gold plating well preserved. The clips are functional and secure. The Chanel signature engraved on the back is clear. Sold with pouch and Rarr Vintage certificate of authenticity.
